Designing and building Meyar, a platform for tracking licence and residency renewals

For multi-branch restaurants and cafes, a lapsed residency or licence becomes a fine or a closed branch. Meyar is a Saudi platform that tracks every regulatory obligation across branches and brands, alerts before expiry, and shows the renewal decision that costs the least in cash.

The problem

Renewals of residencies, licences and permits usually sit between a spreadsheet and a manager’s memory. With several branches and brands it becomes hard to see what expires soon and what it costs, so items are missed, fines accumulate, and annual renewals are paid early for no reason, tying up cash.

No one in the business holds a single picture: how many obligations are coming, and what they cost.

The solution

Meyar is built around two questions an owner of several branches asks every day: what expires soon, and how do I pay less now? Brands, branches, staff and licences go in, and become one dashboard that orders obligations by proximity to expiry, with alerts sent ahead of time through the system, email or WhatsApp.

At the centre sits the Smart Renewal Advisor. It compares the cost of renewing everything for a full year with a plan of shorter terms (3, 6 or 9 months) and shows how much cash can be deferred today.

Design decisions

The interface uses two colours only: black for structure and red for whatever needs attention, so a manager reads the state of the business without explanation. The copy follows the practical language restaurant owners use, and the free trial is designed to show value before any commitment: a one-tap account pre-filled with a sample company, a 24-hour countdown, and no card.

Pricing is based on the number of branches, and every plan includes every feature: Independent for one branch, Growth up to three, Chain up to six, and Group on custom pricing. Subscriptions start quarterly, and the annual plan includes two free months.

Where it stands

The platform is published with a landing page, plans, a free trial, and privacy, terms and refund policies. The figures shown inside the screens (number of obligations, deferred cash, business names) are illustrative trial data, not client data.

What this means for your business

If you run a restaurant or a group of branches, regulatory renewals are an obligation that can be managed instead of chased. If you have a digital product idea, this page is a model of a path that starts with the name and identity and ends with a product that can be tried and subscribed to.

The idea, name, visual identity, interface design and build are by House of Idea, under my creative direction.
